The last two lines are my faves, I= think it's one of the best Sundays songs lyrically ever. Can't make head= nor tail of Through The Dark though. What's it all about? I'll leave that= one to someone else!!! LIFE GOES ON Build me up don't get me down Weather the storm,=20 Well, life goes on Feelings ebb and flow by hour You're up in the clouds, oh And then you sink like a stone So do you fill yourself with pills Oh, to deaden your ills Or are you only one love short of happiness And in a picture on the wall No glimmer of yourself at all You've let yourself fall away Build me up, don't mop my brow Weather the storm, oh Because life goes on Missed my only hope right now Oh, it's all I can do Oh, not to sink like a stone So do you fill yourself with pills Oh, to deaden your ills Or are you only one love short of happiness And in a picture on the wall No glimmer of yourself at all You've left yourself far away Oh, so do you fill yourself with pills To cure you of your ills Or are you only one love short of the happy days to come And in a picture on the wall Can't see your face at all So untie yourself Because that's all you've got to do And I can grab those wings And I can take up flying Won't be no crying Up in the air, looking back down And let me tell you if I talk about gloom I don't get out of feeling down It strips you of yourself And splits you from the self that you know Mark ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Date: Thu, 27 Nov 1997 22:27:03 -0500 From: Craig Parker Subject: Latest US Chart Info First, here's the US chart info for Static & Silence from the Dec. 6th,1997 issue of Billboard: Top 200 Albums chart: plummets 25 spots to #152 in it's 9th week. This was the second Sunday's show I've seen - I saw them in DC on the Blind tour ... so I had some idea of what to expect: perfection. They didn't disappoint.=20 Just like everyone has said, their style is flawless but they don't leave anything to chance. Not a whit of improv was heard, and we were listening pretty damn close. After the show, I finagled my way into the VIP lounge and got to spend some quality time with the cute couple. David seemed genuinely interested when I mentioned the e-mail list. That led easily into a discussion about his technical problems. He didn't want to get very in-depth on the problem, but he reiterated his excitement that nothing blew out tonight. As some of you have said, David is a very engaging conversationalist. I overcame my overwhelming jealousy and developed a real sense of respect for him. I see what Harriet sees in him. Both David and Harriet were overwhelmingly outgoing. After such an amazing show, they had quite a bit of emotion to spare.=20 Harriet received more attention, but of course she is perfect. So there you are. They gave me a promo CD and signed it "Jason, that's your name. We're Harriet and David." They are so damn cool. After a half-hour, I had to sneak out. But I waited by their tour bus until they left. Soon later, they made their way to their getaway bus, and my friends and I mobbed them with more questions. Amazingly enough, their excitement and thoughtfulness continued, even at 1:30 AM. Other random notes (if that wasn't random enough) o Billie stays at the Hotel with the Nanny. She knows she's "on tour," but= =20 she doesn't know what that means. And when Harriet mentioned that her face was red, Billie said she dyed it. What do you expect for their kid? o The band and roadies travel in the band. But apparently David and Harriet don't. I didn't pry. o They did three encores, which sounds pretty uncommon. Then again, so was= =20 the audience response. We didn't have any hecklers, just people who were= =20 very excited to see the Sundays. o They may extend their tour - they just didn't know how successful the= first leg would be. Stay tuned for that... o They don't have any Thanksgiving plans; Harriet: "We're British; we don't= =20 have much to be thankful for"=20 o The fact that they were so interested in the e-mail list would suggest= they aren't on it, but perhaps that's=20just their wily plan. That's about all I can remember. They are just such amazing people. I'll try and scan in the CD cover they signed. It's divine... I just got a few e-mails about the song "All I Ever Wanted" I put up on my webpage, so I thought I'd re-post what I have and what I'm going to have on there for you all to download and enjoy.... First of all I'm using this terrible thing called geocities webpages because my server doesn't provide web page services. so I only have 2 megs of space for the songs minus the amount my page takes up (which is an area I can practice HTML for the web page of my volleyball team for the University of Windsor) Since there seems to be a few people that want these songs that I have I think I'll make a separate page for you to get them.... please email me and say something like thanks or whatever so that I know I'm not doing this in vain! :) The address will be:=20 http://www.geocities.com/Colosseum/Stadium/8955/sundays.html These are the songs I have that aren't on any album that I know: All I Ever Wanted -- 709KB Turkish -- 416KB Noise -- 1583KB "All I ever wanted" is up there right now if any of you want to grab it now!
