News on The SUNDAYS
June 2005 - Nada. 2004 - Still nothing to report. Double d'oh. 2003 - Nothing to report. D'oh. December 1, 2002 - Audrey Riley, orchestra and strings arranger on Static & Silence, has asked David Gavurin and Harriet Wheeler to compose a cello piece for public performance in the show, "A Change Of Light." David and Harriet were unable to complete their piece in time for the show's world premiere on October 3rd in Nottingham, so Audrey made a transcription of Life & Soul from the album Blind geared for cello, piano, and electric guitar. "A Change Of Light" will be recorded eventually, and there is a possibility it may tour the States.
February 15, 2002 - Raymond Coffer and Paul Brindley confirm that rumors of the imminent release of a new album are false and that it may be some time before we get any new music. Raymond went on to note that we should not expect any new music from The SUNDAYS by the end of this year. In other news, Patch played on Kimberley Rew's (formerly of Katrina and the Waves) latest album, "Great Central Revisited", as a guest drummer.
September 28, 1999 - Update from Patch: H & D's new baby is called Frank, and was born in March. I also have a new offspring; a boy called Finn Austin Hannan born 8th January. He is our third following Imogen Alice & Verity Scarlett. I am currently working on the second LP for theaudience, which will be released next year on Mercury records. I no longer play in Homer and they have subsequently reinvented themselves as Departure lounge. They are soon to tour the states with Robyn Hitchcock (on whose Moss elixir LP I played) and I still stay in contact with them. I am working on another project with a female singer which I will let you know about. Thanks for your interest, Patch.
August 31, 1998 - The SUNDAYS' management group has confirmed that The SUNDAYS will NOT tour this fall. Patch received copies of Our Finest Hour and will distribute it to the band. In addition, Patch will be touring the US this November with his other band, "theaudience". |
