WEEP THE VIOLETS - tribute band (5, 12)
Weep the Violets have changed their name to Submersible.
John Given and Janice Whaley grew up in the little town of Joshua Tree,
CA with no radio stations, movie theaters, grocery stores or stop
lights. Imagine traveling an hour to go see a movie or buy a CD!
Living in a town with no outside influences made them very self
reliant and dependant on their own desires as influences rather than
let Commercialized America decide for them. As a result, you can
really hear and feel a little bit of John and Janice in their music.
They moved to San Francisco a few years ago and were involved in other
bands until Christmas 1997, when they had the brilliant idea of pursuing
music together. The result of this is SUBMERSIBLE and what you are
witnessing is the start of something big! Please show your support and
visit their web site.
